Employers’ legal duties

The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. These Regulations apply to all workplaces including those with less than five employees and to the self-employed.

All Plumber's and Gas Fitter's, Electrictian's and Builders require a 3 day level 3 Award in First aid at Work

In Childcare it is a Legal Requiement to have Adult as well as Paedietic First Aiders at your premises at all times. 

It is illegal to hold Children's prescription medicine over night. Including Salbutamol and Epi-pens.
